Friends of Scottish Rite for Children,
We hope this finds you well and invite you to participate in a fundraising effort dedicated to the 100 year anniversary of Scottish Rite for Children. Proceeds will benefit not only Scottish Rite for Children but research that will impact pediatric orthopedic patients around the world.
Scottish Rite for Children was established in 1921 when a group of Texas Masons approached Dallas’ first orthopedic surgeon, W.B. Carrell, M.D., about providing care to children with polio. With the introduction of the Salk and Sabin vaccines in the mid-1950s, which virtually eradicated polio in the Western Hemisphere, Scottish Rite broadened its focus to other orthopedic conditions.
Scottish Rite for Children is dedicated to advancing treatment methods, conducting pioneering research and educating health care professionals locally and abroad in furtherance of a commitment to giving children back their childhood.
Your generosity gives the gift of childhood. The gift of being able to run, jump, and play. The gift of being boundless. With your help, Scottish Rite for Children can advance research and drive innovation that will make the next century as impactful as the first.
Thank you,
Knox-Corinthian Lodge No. 851
